Thoughts on Islam

Image
The events in Egypt have reminded of some great dialogue from Pat Condell who freaking nailed it so many years ago when he was embarrassed for the U.S. and the new mosque that was being built so close to Ground Zero. Any religion that endorses violence is incapable of delivering spiritual enlightenment - how obvious does that have to be? - and it has no right even to call itself a religion. Without the shield of religion to hide behind, Islam would be banned in the civilized world as a political ideology of hate - and we have no obligation to make allowances for it, any more than we do for Nazism. It's a bigger threat to our freedom than Nazism ever was. Yes, both are totalitarian, and both divide the world unnecessarily into us-and-them, the pure and the impure, and both make no secret of their desire to exterminate the Jews. But we were all more or less on the same side against the Nazis, whereas the Islamonazis have got plenty of friends among people in the West who ought to ...

Support the Heroes, Honor the Zero

The media stir concerning the mosque near Ground Zero increased to egg whipping status last week as our Vacationer in Chief made a drive by disfavor before heading off to Martha's Vineyard for another lavish vacation at taxpayer's expense . It is old news by now that Obama will always side against America and Her best interests, (one of many examples: Hurting 100 million to help 9 million ) but I find it extremely low to spit on the graves of the victims of September 11, 2001 and in the faces of the people who lost friends and family in the attacks. I have read and been a part of many discussions regarding the mosque controversy and there is a common but scary theme - ignorance. All "sides" are guilty of it and two steps behind Ignorance is Pride, the half brother of Ignorance. When these two guys get together it usually ends bad for someone. There were some people in these threads that didn't understand that "Muslim" is not a religion but that Islam ...

Iran claims Holocaust was a lie, throws elephant size testicles onto U.N. podium

Image
It has been almost a month since Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told the U.N. and the rest of the World that the Holocaust was a crock of poo-poo, that Israel is a regime that "won't last long" and then continued on to talk about Iran's full-speed-ahead nucular (sic) program. That takes a gigantic set of balls, even bigger than self proclaimed genius and world proclaimed douchebag Kanye West after his embarrassing stunt on stage with Taylor Swift. Even Tiger Woods can't come close with his last transparent and honey-do forced news conference apologizing for his few hundred isolated incidents of infidelity. Yes, it takes a set of balls so big that a even a bad case of elephantiasis pales in comparison. For crying out loud, even Germany said Ahmadinejad was a "disgrace to his country". The really sad part of this ridiculousness is that there will be some weak minded, gullible and just plain stupid people out there who will believe this garbage....

Tis the Season

Well, the glitter of commercialism has all but left us this year, and as I stand around looking at the recycle bin overflowing with cardboard and paper, I am glad that I won't have to hear non-stop Christmas songs anymore where I work. I could put up with it a little better I suppose if they didn't start playing the day after Thanksgiving. I work 2 retail jobs (at the moment) so I get it all day everyday. But at least I was home for the holidays instead of punching holes in the ocean or standing topside on a submarine freezing my ass off. No amount of holiday commercialism or family drama can ever compare to the last 20 years of missing the special events in family life. I want to wish all of you a Happy New Year and to thank all of you for dropping by all these years. I am sorry I don't have the time to visit all of your sites anymore to post but I do occasionally drop by for a read. And for the love of God, I am so happy I don't have to read "Mele Kalikimaka...
