Arizona’s Desperate Measures

Arizona is hoping to do what the Federal government cannot by passing a controversial law intended to try and relieve the illegal immigrant problem within their state lines. I say controversial because that is the label it has been given by the majority of the morons in this country who get their news from Comedy Central or the 60 second radio snippet on their way to work. The 17 page document, cited as the “ Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe 27 Neighborhoods Act" , is an easy read and certainly not as long to read (and interpret) as Obama’s health care reform bill. The major uproar over the new law hails from the second paragraph in the first article on the first page. If you are one of those dorks who specializes in Internet shorthand you will probably be irritated by the ALL CAPS. The text does not represent yelling; I have copied the article directly from the law and have not edited its formatting. 11-1051   Cooperation and assistance in enforcement of immigration laws;...

Musings from another time and another forum

I was going through some old files and had to install a Word Perfect converter to read an old archive. Many years ago I used to write at Gibe.com, in fact it is where I first started to write pseudo commentary (long) before Aloha Dump. I came across this gem in which I was in rare form and let someone named Horizon have it with both barrels. He was anti military, as evidenced by his post, and really bashed me for about a month before I wrote this final response- to which he never replied. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Re: Crime & Punishment 05-01-97 03:48:39 horizon Hey Shitster, how can you be on the net, with more info at your fingertips than the world has ever known, and still be so unbelievably ignorant? How is it that you can only look back as far as Iraq? I mean, I won't even go into the part where Hussein was "Our Boy" for years, only demonized by US, when he refused to obey. How about ...

Sandra Bullock dissed by upstanding husband

"America's Sweetheart", Sandra Bullock, was apparently the last person to find out her husband was cheating on her. Why does news this surprise anyone and why do stories like this continue to dominate the headlines? And please, for the love of God, stop comparing Bullock to Tiger Woods' wife. At least everyone was shocked when the Tiger scandal surfaced; even as full as we were from the Thanksgiving Day gluttony, we had just a little room left to stuff down a piece of this juicy morsel. Hearing the news that Jesse James cheated on Sandra Bullock (since the very beginning of their marriage) is like finding lint in your belly button. It appears James' show " Jesse James is a Dead Man " takes on a whole new meaning now. At least he is heading in the right direction with fixing his marriage by offering to pose nude in Playgirl for half a million dollars. Screw Dr. Phil.

Obama must really suck for Canadians to hate him

When Obama won the Presidency with the help of the LEFTIST Media, Hollywood and Entertainment Liberals, Ethnic Socialists (ACORN), Stupid Non-Business Professionals and Bush Haters, I wrote: It won’t take 6 months until the people figure this guy out and realize how horrible a mistake they’ve made. And when they come to that realization, the damage to the United States of America will be so great, that it will take a generation or more to repair - IF EVER. The IDIOTS who not only voted for the Messiah, but also worked their sorry asses-off to promote his Lordship, are now left holding the bag. Here are two things they will NEVER do: 1 – They will NEVER admit to making a blunder out of all proportion by electing a snake-oil salesman with no positive social history or management experience of any kind. 2 – They will NEVER take responsibility for the curse they’ve imposed upon the immediate and long-term future of their country. In essence, the people responsible for putting ...

Iran claims Holocaust was a lie, throws elephant size testicles onto U.N. podium

Image
It has been almost a month since Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told the U.N. and the rest of the World that the Holocaust was a crock of poo-poo, that Israel is a regime that "won't last long" and then continued on to talk about Iran's full-speed-ahead nucular (sic) program. That takes a gigantic set of balls, even bigger than self proclaimed genius and world proclaimed douchebag Kanye West after his embarrassing stunt on stage with Taylor Swift. Even Tiger Woods can't come close with his last transparent and honey-do forced news conference apologizing for his few hundred isolated incidents of infidelity. Yes, it takes a set of balls so big that a even a bad case of elephantiasis pales in comparison. For crying out loud, even Germany said Ahmadinejad was a "disgrace to his country". The really sad part of this ridiculousness is that there will be some weak minded, gullible and just plain stupid people out there who will believe this garbage....

The Eagle and the Fox

Image
No, it isn't an Aesop Fable (Google it, you teenage turds, if you don't know who Aesop is) but a struggle between 2 animals in the dead of Winter. These shots were taken by a hunter in Montana with a cell phone camera. I would love to get images like these with my good camera. SOunds like a manly weekend in the making. I was going to try and craft something witty using these photos, like the differences in our two-party system  when it comes to sharing the wealth. The eagle (republican icon) provided for himself and then the fox (democrat icon) is trying to take the eagles hard earned kill to divey it up amongst the other opportunists, represented by the black birds, who are showing up for a free meal. But I won't.

2010 Olympic Fashion Show.. err. Games

Just inside one week after the Saints won Super Bowl XLIV (that's 44 if you didn't pass the 8th grade) the first Olympic Games of the new decade launched yesterday in Vancouver, Canada. Sorry, Chicago. Coincidentally, I had a short layover in O'Hare yesterday and all I could think about was how much different this airport would have looked had they not been bumped in the first round. I thought the same thing when I was in South Bend, Indiana and saw a meager little shelf in the airport gift shop dedicated to the Colts. Although the Games were kicked off by the death of a luger from Georgia - the country, not the state- the procession, led by Greece, was a success for all the fashion police of the world who have just recovered from the Grammy's. From the sexually-ambiguous-figure-skater Johnny Wier's choice of faux fur with the imminent backlash from PETA (haha) to the dreadlock-wearing-Japanese-snowboarder -with-an-identity-crisis taking fashion lessons from K-Fed...

Cat predicts over 50 deaths

Finally, an animal story worth reading about. This thing has predicted at least 50 deaths, even one where the doctors got it wrong, and sits with the person during the last day or so. Too bad it doesn't cause death as I have a few odd jobs for it. Oscar the Death Sniffing Cat

So long aughts!

Another year has gone by, another decade has flown by and now we will all have to get used to writing 2010 on our checks without double zeros.  Have we decided on how to say 2010? "Oh ten" sounds dumb so I think we will be stuck without an abbreviated year for a very long time. "Ten" just doesn't have the same pizazz that "Nine-seven" or all the other years had leading up to the changing of the millennium. This decade has been marred by war, loss and political turmoil and we haven't even mentioned the economy, jobs and Kim Kardashian's circus freak ass. We were promised a quick victory at the beginning of the decade and sweeping change towards the end- it has become clear that we were duped. There will be dozens of sites and shows remembering the last year and the first decade of both this generation's first century and the beginning of a new 1000 years - well, for those of  us that follow the Gregorian calendar, anyway. For all the hea...

Attempted Detroit airline bombing plot thickens

It appears that my eagerness for racial profiling at airports really doesn't matter since we can't even rely on people to check the dates on an expired Visa. The school administrator who arranged for a taxi to take Umar back to the airport told reporters the taxi was the end of their responsibility for the Nigerian who came to Yemen to learn Arabic. To learn Arabic? Of course in hindsight that might have raised some flags but we can't investigate everyone who wants to learn a language heavily reliant on the sounds of phlegm lodged in the back of the throat. Updating my original post with this new information has further solidified my resolve (from 2001) that we cannot rely on anyone else in the world to look after our interests of national security. Yemen should be punished for allowing this terrorist to leave their country, either by their own negligence or for aiding  Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab . Uh oh, did I just start a conspiracy theory? *Cue intense ...
