Support the Heroes, Honor the Zero

Image
The media stir concerning the mosque near Ground Zero increased to egg whipping status last week as our Vacationer in Chief made a drive by disfavor before heading off to Martha's Vineyard for another lavish vacation at taxpayer's expense . It is old news by now that Obama will always side against America and Her best interests, (one of many examples: Hurting 100 million to help 9 million ) but I find it extremely low to spit on the graves of the victims of September 11, 2001 and in the faces of the people who lost friends and family in the attacks. I have read and been a part of many discussions regarding the mosque controversy and there is a common but scary theme - ignorance. All "sides" are guilty of it and two steps behind Ignorance is Pride, the half brother of Ignorance. When these two guys get together it usually ends bad for someone. There were some people in these threads that didn't understand that "Muslim" is not a religion but that Islam ...

Obama stubbornness costing Americans billions

Image
While the Vacationer in Chief plays the back 9 in Martha's Vineyard this week, the housing crisis continues its tailspin. The housing market has been in decline since about 2007, the reasons being as varied as they are frustrating. The responsible parties are a different topic all together but the common denominator is that the housing lenders were very indiscriminate about whom they were lending hundreds of thousands of dollars to. Most of the people who received these loans could not possibly pay them back, something the lenders already knew but ignored.  For example, someone who makes $40,000 a year could not possibly payback a $500,000 loan in a reasonable amount of time. That is roughly $3400 a month for 160 months. The lenders knew this, but did not care. The lenders took their cues from the corrupt Wall Street brokers who finally got caught with their shenanigans, and then bailed out. The Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac $25 billion+ bailouts were just the tip...

Hawaii man files lawsuit for his addiction- to a video game

Yes, you read that right- a video game addiction. Not heroin, ice, poi or crack but an addiction to the online game Lineage II, a game so lame that it throttles the imagination that anyone could become addicted to it. Craig Smallwood is filing a negligence suit against the game's creators because when he started playing (in 2004) there was no mention o the box of how a person with no life, no sense of self responsibility or no friends could become so involved in a fantasy online world that the person would not be able to get out of bed, feed themselves, bathe keep a job or talk to his family. In fact, it never occurred to Smallwood, during the 20,000 hours logged between 2004 and 2009, that h e might have an issue with his personal life and turn into a blame-shifting shut-in. To provide some substance to the amount of time Smallwood played, there are 43,829 (8765 * 5) total hours that make up the 5 years he played this game. He played the equivalent of 2.28 yea...

How to get rid of a naggy girlfriend

Image
The blogosphere is alive with the headlines " Chivalry is Dead " over an Astro's fan who let a fly ball hit his date instead of catching it. I say they aren't reading into it enough. What happened to equal opportunity, to equal rights, to fairness? I submit that this fan was so enthralled with a fly ball heading his way that he declined to catch it, giving his girlfriend the rare opportunity of catching one. Or, she was such a bitch that he let the fly ball whack her. Either way, her face is priceless.

Mexico legislators angry about influx of people- from AZ

Image
Yes, you read that right. Nine legislators form Mexico came to AZ last week to complain about the strict AZ immigration laws. Evidently, Mexico ins't able to handle the influx of returning illegals. Excuse me while I guffaw .

Karma Chameleon

On December 9, 2009 Jason Green and his girlfriend, both New York City EMT's, were getting coffee and bagels in Brooklyn coffee shop when a 25 year old woman  who was 6 months pregnant began having a seizure. The EMT's, still in uniform, told the cashier to call 911 and left with their coffee and bagels. The woman and her baby died that day. The EMT's were suspended without pay and then faded away from media radar. On July 19, 2010 Green and his buddy were trying to get into a SoHo nightclub when Green's buddy was turned away for wearing shorts. They were involved in an altercation in a parking a few minutes later and a man got out of his car a shot Green to death. It is not known whether the shooter recognized Green as the disgraced EMT or whether people just stood there and watched him die. Call it karma, poetic justice, or irony- I don't feel bad for this guy.

Pray for Obama: Psalm 109:9

Brutha's and sista's, let us pray for Obama using the following passage from the Good Book:   Psalm 109:8   "Let his days be few and brief; and let others step forward to replace him." Can I get an AMEN!

Cav's butthurt over James' decision to flee Cleveland

Image
Lebron James' announcement to switch to the Miami Heat has everyone who gives a flip about basketball (is it?) in a huge tizzy. Cincinnati is upset while in Miami there were reports of rioting, looting and dancing in the streets- just another normal day in Miami until they heard about the James decision. The full range of emotions can be found on Yahoo! Sports, the pinnacle of in-depth decisive sports reporting. The main story revolves around the owner of the Cavs, Dan Gilbert, in this riveting headline:   'Cleveland fans don't deserve this cowardly betrayal' .  Evidently, Dan was so pissed at the decision that he decided to write an open Internet letter to the fans of the Cavs. It is derogation at its finest and really makes Gilbert look like a whiny ass. Thank you Lebron, Gilbert, Cincinnati, Miami and the 5110+ losers who flooded the Yahoo comments section about this story for again solidifying the fact that professional sports obsession is...

CBS Poll lets you rate the President

Image
I found this link in my Inbox and decided to see what kind of smokescreen CBS's blog Political Hotseat was throwing down. The poll asks you to grade Obama, from an A to an F, in 10 different categories with the last category an overall grade for the President. Here are the issues: The Economy Foreign Policy Health Care Afghanistan Iraq Threat of Terrorism Energy and the Environment Social Issues Bipartisanship Obama's Overall Job as President Seems pretty straight forward although I am not sure why the separation between Afghanistan and Iraq. I would have liked to see "Gulf Oil Crisis" in there somewhere but for a meaningless poll it pretty much covers the gamut. For all you Obama haters and nut swingers, you can refresh the page and fill out the poll as many times as you like but I did not notice the percentages change when I filled it out a second time to see if CBS put a limit on the voting. I could totally picture an Obama hater staying up a...

US loses to Ghana 1-2

It was a good run United States. I didn't think they would get this far but we'll take all the cheezy goals we can get and all the ties we can squeek by with. I don't know what Coach Bradley said to his team at the half but perhaps he should have said it at the beginning of the game- it reminded me of the super lame Super Bowl 2008. I blame the candy ass soccer moms for this loss. Had you been more focused on teaching your kids how to win a game  instead making everyone, including the losers, feel good about just playing the game perhaps we would have beaten Ghana. In case you missed it, last week a college student made this video celebrating Donovan's goal last Wednesday that got the US into the final 16. File under "Short but Sweet". Portugal spanks N. Korea 7-0, countdown to firing squad begins.

The disgust of the Iraqi head of sports came to a climax when it was discovered that Uday, one of Saddam's sicko sons, tortured and murdered Iraqi professional athletes who lost games . In 1980 Iraq sent 46 athletes to the Olympic games; in 2000 they sent just 4 to the Games in Sydney. Hmm, right after Uday took over people stopped wanting to play sports for the country of Iraq. I wonder if the same fate will fall to the North Korean soccer team after the 7-0 ass whipping they received from Portugal.  The game was televised to residents of PRK (for the first time in decades?) but was abruptly cut short after the following announcement:  "The Portuguese won the game and now have four points. We ar e  ending our live broadcast now "  A brilliant quote from the soccer coach, Kim  Jong Hun,  concerning the loss, and similar to Ron Atkinson's  "Well, either side could win it, or it could be a draw.", made me wonder just how bad the soccer team has it. ...

LSU Adpots Mercy Rule: Whiny kids excuses from studying

Image
I recall going to my son's T-Ball game a number of years ago and watching his team beat the living piss out of the opponents. Granted, they were all 5 or 6 years old but it was still fun to watch. It had been a long time since I had witnessed a "Mercy Rule" in any game and was surprised to see the Umpire call the game only 25 or 30 minutes into the game- I think they were up 15 to 1 when the game was called. I was bummed I only got 30 minutes of beer drinking in before the drive home. I remember walking to the car and hearing a mother console her son who was crying because they didn't win. She told him that the score doesn't matter and that he is a winner. This happened 7 or 8 years ago and I am ashamed, appalled and disgusted that this mercy rule (skunk rule), the "everybody is a winner" mentality has has grown to epic proportions. I do not think we have yet reached the unholy apex of turning our kids into pussies. The evidence is all around: monk...
