Vader Sessions

Torn by good and evil and an incestuous love affair, a lonely and depraved Darth Vader has a nervous breakdown. (Complete with James Earl Jones voiceovers) Vader Sessions

Finally, Sheehan shuts the hell up

Image
It has been almost 2 years since the second most popular Sheehan was shoved into our faces by every media network that could stand to make a buck off the anti-war tide. But it seems this tide, for Sheehan, is in ebb and she has decided to step down as the token loudmouth. Sheehan announced, "I'm going home for awhile to try and be normal. Good idea- 2 years of being abnormal tends to take its toll. She has aged quite a bit in the last 2 years, divorced her husband of almost 30 years, has been arrested more times than a rapper, gussied up next to anti-American asshat Hugo Chavez (and other pitiful media whores), and parroted the anti-war rhetoric to the letter. The only thing she didn't do was burn the Flag. But why burn it when you can wipe your ass with it? In a speech that she actually said her son's name enough to be noticeable, she said, I have endured a lot of smear and hatred since Casey was killed and especially since I became the so-called `Face' of the Ame...

Iran, U.S. Hold Bilateral Talks The United States and Iran held their first formal talks in 27 years in order to discuss the security of Iraq. What do you think? Meg Stainer, Road Construction Worker "Sky-high gas prices, meeting with Iran, Jimmy Carter in the news, it feels great to be 9 years old again." Nate Williams, Shoe Cobbler "If we can neutralize the Iranian influence in the region, our only obstacle to peace will be 99 other influences. Progress!" Patton Konopka, Systems Analyst "Hopefully this will result in some sort of pan-continental mega-theocracy where the religious zealotry of our respective leaders can dictate every aspect of our lives."

Starbucks: We kiss you first

I must say that I feel better about paying $4.25 for a cinnamon dulce de leche latte than I do when I pay $3.20 for a gallon of gas. I don't know why because per ounce I am getting screwed over big time by Starbucks. I think it is because Starbucks does a really good job of packaging both inside the store and with their products. The inside of the store makes you feel very comfortable and important as soon as you walk in. The strong aroma of beans, the higlighted coffees from around the world, and the people sitting with their laptops clicking away all lend to an atmosphere of exclusivity- yes, you are good enough to frequent our establishment. If i do not have the time to stop by the Starbucks enroute to work then I will settle for the onbase coffee house Seattle's Best. If that is true then Seattle is in big trouble. Everything that Starbucks is, SB is not. To be fair, I have never been to an off base SB but the two that are onbase have consistently made my vanilla latte tast...

Time for a pop quiz! No, I’m not going to have you try and guess the combined tonnage of Rosie O’Donnell and Michael Moore, but it is something that will tax your brain just the same. What are the 7 Wonders of North America? And if you say, “The combined tonnage of Rosie and Moore”- you fail. How many of them have you visited? This idea came to me as I read the back of the Tasteeos cereal box, a blatant knock off of another popular but tasteless cereal. While it was refreshing to read something other than desperate attempts to get children to keep pestering their parents for the sweet and expensive cereal, I was reminded of a story I read about the Islamofacists and their jihad to control the world with their 7th century lifestyle. The article, in its entirety is an excellent recount of both Western and Eastern art, music, and architecture and how Muslims reject these influences. The article, found in The Brussels Journal, entitled Why Western Art is Unique, and Why Muslim Immigration ...

Email spanking

I enjoy a good verbal joust, especially when it is with someone who clearly cannot articulate themselves in a intelligible manor. Here is a short discourse with a young man who sent me an email to my work address who thought I was someone else with the same name. The progression of replies speak for themselves, but I will leave you with the challenge of finding the errors of both judgment and grammar in this young man's replies. There have been at least 5 more replies from him, each more desperate and lame than the previous. -----Original Message----- From: Mariano Lorde [mailto:god.of.warr@hotmail.com] Sent: Sunday, May 13, 2007 12:45 To: TK Subject: Mariano a.k.a Alesha's X Not sure if this is the right address man but if it is and ya know me holla back man. COs dropping like flies

The Navy Times ran a story called 4 COs Fired in just 4 Weeks. It is not on their website yet but the 4 individual stories of the COs can be read. Of course, as I write this entry, it seems the NT was a bit premature in writing the story because the USS Helena, a fast-attack submarine out of San Diego, just lost their CO because of "loss of confidence"  What that really means, is that he probably got below averages (or failed) the major annual inspections the boats get- ORSE and TRE. I’m not bothering to spell out the acronym because if you aren’t on a boat you won’t care and if you are on a boat you despise the inspections. But "loss of confidence" can mean so many things. It was one of the reasons my old CO on the USS Los Angles was sacked for in 2001, following a suicide by a first class nuke, the mental health office installing a revolving door for L.A. sailors, and a parse 5 of 13 Chiefs onboard. Hell, even the EDMC (the senior nuke) went AWOL to get away f...

Military blogger wins cash prize

An American soldier's graphic account of his deployment in Iraq, detailing the firefights and frustrations of frontline life, has won a prize for books based on blogs, organisers said Monday. Colby Buzzell's "My War: Killing Time In Iraq", the winner of this year's Lulu Blooker Prize, grew out of an online journal which he started in 2004 while serving as a machine-gunner based in Mosul, northern Iraq. The blog ran for just eight weeks before being shut down by the US military, but by then it had been widely picked up by the media and publishers offered Buzzell a book deal when he left the army in 2005. Here is an animated sequence of one of Buzzell's stories. It is very chilling and something a lot of our soldiers have no doubt gone through.

Consider God's handiwork...

Consider God's handiwork; who can straighten what He hath made crooked?" - Ecclesiastes 7:13 Parents of kids with Down syndrome are trying to discourage routine abortions of such children. Tests for the syndrome are spreading, and 90 percent of women who test positive choose abortion. Parents' methods of discouragement: meeting with doctors to change the way they talk about Down's, asking doctors to refer pregnant women to them, and inviting the women to meet their affected kids. Official rationales : 1) Down's kids are a joy and not such a burden. 2) Routine abortion of them is a step toward eugenics. Unofficial rationale : If no more kids are born with the syndrome, society's support for kids already affected will evaporate. Cynical view : Misery loves company. Hardcore pro-choice view : This smells like pro-life pressure tactics. There are so many slippery slopes in that Slate magazine article that it is difficult to pick a starting point. Needless to say th...

Democrats (and some GOP) need a lesson in accountability

I must begin by giving a hat tip to Mike Lief for this story; his post (and blog for that matter) has a level of insight that escapes me as my sinus infection and impending bronchitis have rendered my thought processes handicapped at the moment. Several House Representatives have initiated House Resolution 1595, a WWII reparations bill to pay surviving residents of Guam who were attacked by the Japanese. Yes, the taxpayers of the United States are going to pay WWII Chamorro's reparations for "death, rape, severe personal injury, personal injury, forced labor, forced march, or internment" caused by the Japanese military occupation of Guam. John Campbell has some perspective on the cost to taxpayers. What the hell do these people have against being an American that lends credence to the idea that we are responsible for the troubles that befall others when an enemy of the U.S. harms them? I scratch my head at this resolution, given the sympathy evoking title of 'Guam Wo...

Hawaii Racism kept alive via radio host

Hawaii Senate Majority Leader Gary Hooser (D- 7th; Kauii, Niiihau)had an on-air interview with Perry and Price, one of Hawaii's oldest talk show programs. In the wake of the Waikele parking lot beatings and the bad press this state has received in recent months concerning racism, Larry Price thought it would be a good idea to bring up Senator Hooser's ethinicity as it relates to helping the State and other irrelevancies. Here is the transcript: Price: "You keep using the word 'honest' senator; where you from?" Hooser: "Where am I from? Kapa'a." Price: "Yeah, where were you born and raised?" Hooser: "I was born in California. I graduated high school at Radford High School." Price: "You got blue eyes?" Hooser: "(Laughs) I do. Does that matter?" Price: "Yes, to us it does. Because when local people hear somebody from the Mainland talk about how honest everything is that means that something's wrong. Y...

Bush uses the People's Elbow to send Bill back to Pelosi

Pelosi’s smoke and mirrors bill was DOA as the G dub vetoed the shit out of it, as he appropriately promised the Democrats some time ago. I use the ‘smoke and mirrors’ metaphor because after reading the contents of her “bi-partisan” bill, it is nothing short of a bribe to her fellow Democrats, a sign of surrender to our troops, and a treaty with Bin Laden, Amadnejhad, and any other fanatic who wishes to do the United States harm. The media are remiss in truly reporting the outright lies of the Democrats and their “We hate Bush more than all the other troublemakers in the world” mantra. Pelosi and her fellow lemmings report to exhaustion how fair the bill was and how the President ruled against Congress and the American people for vetoing this bill. Bi-partisan? This thing barely passed with a 51-46 vote. Then again, the spread of votes only matters when the Democrats lose- if they squeak by that means the whole country is behind them; if they lose it’s Bush’s fault for rigging the vote...

Asshat breaks law, runs from police; police chase asshat, force him off road; asshat is now paralyzed

What you would probably expect to read after that headline is an impending lawsuit by the quadriplegic against the police and a liberal judge compensating the asshat's poor judgment. Well, you would be half right. In 2001, Victor Harris, 19 years old at the time, ran from the police like a Kennedy from a car accident. One of the officers ran him off the road and as a result from the crash Harris is now paralyzed. Harris got a Johnny Cochran wanna-be to file a case against the police department for violation of Harris' 4th amendment rights. In case you aren't familiar with this amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. The case went all the way to the Supreme Court and, on April...
